History of SAT company

Sat Company was established on 16 December 1982 as a private joint-stock company by a group of mechanical engineering graduates from Tehran Polytechnic. The company officially commenced its operations in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sector in 1983. Subsequently, it has actively participated in all upstream and downstream projects in the oil and gas industry.

Leveraging its team of skilled experts and boasting over 30 years of successful experience in executing oil, gas, water, and petrochemical projects, Sat Company has been a pioneer in contracting on a national scale and undertaking international projects.

To provide EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, Sat Company has been responsive to the needs of a wide range of clients and customers. With the aim of delivering high-quality services and meeting client expectations through effective project management, adherence to legal requirements, and compliance with H.S.E principles and environmental protection, the company has implemented integrated management systems such as ISO 9001:2008, ISO/TS 29001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and HSE-MS to ensure continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.

One of the valuable services provided by Sat Company in the oil, gas, and water sectors is the purchase and importation of a 250-ton Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) machine from the renowned German company Herrenknecht to execute large-scale projects involving the crossing of pipelines up to 48 inches in diameter beneath rivers and wide obstacles.

The successful completion of dozens of HDD projects, including the crossing of 40-inch water transmission lines beneath the Karun and Karkheh rivers as part of the Ghadeer water supply project to provide drinking water to cities in Khuzestan Province, is among the company’s achievements and honors. In this regard, by receiving letters of appreciation from prominent clients such as the Ministry of Energy and the Khuzestan Regional Water Authority, the company has successfully localized this industry under severe sanctions by relying on domestic experts and the experienced HDD team at Sat Company.

Over more than three decades of operation, the company has successfully executed over 40 projects. Furthermore, since 2008, with the purchase of an HDD machine from Herrenknecht, the company has successfully undertaken numerous projects in the field of crossing oil, gas, and water pipelines beneath rivers in the country.

6. The project to cross 17 40-inch water transmission lines beneath the Karun and Karkheh rivers using the HDD method
