Among the projects of SAT company in the field of horizontal drilling by H.D.D method, the following can be mentioned:

1. The passage of the gas transmission pipeline “24 North of Ahvaz” under the rivers of Greger and Shatita (2 cases – year 2013)

2. Passing of the water transmission pipeline “40” under the Karkhe and Karun rivers (17 cases each with a length of approximately 600 meters – year 2015-2018)

3. Passing of gas transmission pipeline “10 Gachsaran-Shiraz” under Chamgol and Zohra rivers (2 cases – year 2019)

4. Passing of the gas transmission pipeline “6” under the Mond River (1 case, 430 meters long – first half of August 2016)

5. H.D.D operations in the Bidbland-Mahshahr “4/8/10/20” pipeline project of the Bidbland gas refinery project in the Persian Gulf, part B of the Mahshahr facilities and pipelines project (20 items with a length of 11,850 meters – August 2016 until now)

6. The operation of crossing the gas transmission pipeline “48” from the Iran-Iraq border using the HDD method (a case with a length of 370 meters in March 2016)

7. Passing a line of pipeline “6” under the bed of Shif Island estuary by HDD method (a case of 1600 meters length – in progress)

SAT Company has started its cooperation with Nirovostar Institute in the form of Ghadir water supply project and since 2008, in order to pass 17 “40” water pipelines equal to 1000 mm under Karkheh and Karun rivers, each approximately 500 to 600 meters long. .

In this project, the contractor has been responsible for the preparation and presentation of calculations and executive plans, as well as the implementation of H.D.D. directional horizontal drilling operations and the provision of all the necessary equipment and expert personnel, consumables for the implementation and completion of the crossing. The contractor is responsible for the execution of all horizontal drilling operations and has been obliged to execute the execution operations accurately, continuously and correctly, and by maintaining all the execution specifications, instructions and required standards.

At first, SAT company has started to conduct geotechnical and geological tests in order to know the condition of the soil and the nature of the earth’s layers by one of the geotechnical consulting companies. Auxiliary crossing equipment is needed to start the drilling operation with full knowledge and anticipation of all the financial problems and difficulties of the route.

In the next step, after determining the suitability of the land for H.D.D operation, the process of mapping the route and determining the entry point and exit point is done, then the H.D.D operation starts by digging the guide hole.
